Handling plasticizing units during repairs or cleaning presents a challenge for the maintenance departments of plastics processing companies, especially when working with interchangeable modules. For replacing a heater band, removing the screw, or detaching the nozzle, it is helpful if the plasticizing unit can be clamped securely to prevent rotation and, if necessary, even heated outside the machine. With inmex mounting devices, smaller units with screw diameters up to approximately 50 mm can be mounted on a workbench or in a vise, allowing the barrel to protrude and be easily accessible from all sides. It can usually be fixed in various rotational positions. Using the inmex heating controller for plasticizing units, units with up to 8 heating zones can be additionally heated to the desired temperature outside the machine, for example, to remove the screw.
